Grounded Coffee Roasters on KINGLAND is one of The Dolphin’s most exciting independent arrivals. The story behind it is as good as the coffee itself. It all started back in 2015. That year, founders Rosie and Jon’s love for coffee led them to buy a rusty old 1976 Land Rover, restore it and convert it into a coffee truck named Arthur. From those early days at events and festivals across the south, Grounded has grown into something genuinely special. The KINGLAND store is the latest and most exciting chapter in that journey.

The store on Kingland Crescent is also home to Grounded’s roastery and training school. This makes it unlike any other coffee stop in Poole town centre. Sit down with a drink and you might find the roaster running in the background, preparing the beans for the week ahead. It is coffee in its most honest and transparent form. From the roast to the cup, all happens in the same room.

The coffee range reflects the same care and curiosity that has driven Grounded since Arthur first rolled up to his first festival. Blends like Sweet Breeze, Storm and Winter Nights sit alongside single origin options. There is also a seriously considered decaf range for those who want all the flavour without the caffeine. Every bean is roasted by the people who serve it. This is increasingly rare and worth appreciating.

Rosie, Jon and their fantastic team of baristas have built something that feels genuinely personal. This is a family business with real roots in Dorset and real passion for the craft. Courses are available for those who want to learn more about coffee properly.
