The Dolphin Poole is Dorset’s largest indoor shopping centre, home to over 90 retailers including a variety of leading high street brands and independent, specialist stores.
Since being acquired by Legal & General in 2013, The Dolphin has expanded to offer food and drink, leisure attractions, free events and service hubs for the local community.
Originally known as the Arndale Centre, the shopping centre first opened to the public in 1969. After further development and refurbishments, the centre was rebranded as the Dolphin Shopping Centre in 1989.
Today, the centre welcomes upwards of 30,000 visitors per day and is known as The Dolphin.
As well as being home to over 90 retailers and restaurants, we provide great experiences and resources for the local community:
GATHER event space is a free venue for individuals, organisations and charities to host their own events for the local community. This includes charity fundraisers, pop-ups, art exhibitions, children’s entertainment, education and employment fairs, interactive workshops and more.
We also enjoy bringing the community together for larger seasonal celebrations such as Christmas, Easter, Diwali, and Black History Month.
Find more local independents on our artisanal street, Kingland Crescent. Since Kingland’s transformation in 2021, it has been home to the best homegrown brands around.
Whether you’re into luscious houseplant greenery, locally brewed coffee, or even country fashion, Kingland is worth a visit!
Take a break from shopping and treat yourself to breakfast, lunch or dinner at The Dolphin Street Food! Whether you’re in the mood for burritos, noodles, curried goat, burgers or even a handmade wrap, we’ve got you covered.
Our new street food destination can be found on the first floor, featuring both brand-new and established restaurants and celebrating flavours from around the world.
