Access Wellbeing

Access Wellbeing | Community Support at The Dolphin Poole

Access Wellbeing is a welcoming hub inside The Dolphin Poole where anyone in the local community can find support, whatever is on their mind. Sometimes when you’re worried or struggling, it can be difficult to know where to turn. So this is a space designed to make that first step a little easier.

A Friendly Place to Start

The hub’s friendly Wellbeing Coordinators take the time to listen without judgement. Then they help you find the right support and advice for your situation. There’s no appointment needed. Simply pop in during opening hours and the team will be ready to help. The hub sits on the first floor of The Dolphin, next to the car park entrance.

What Access Wellbeing Covers

The team supports people across a wide range of topics. These include mental health and emotional wellbeing, social connections and activities, bereavement and grief, and practical advice on work, money and housing. Support for carers and family members is also available. So whatever is weighing on you, there’s likely someone here who can point you in the right direction.

Part of Something Bigger

Access Wellbeing sits within a wider programme of work that brings organisations across Dorset together to improve mental health and wellbeing support for local communities. The Poole hub is managed by PramaLife and Help & Care in partnership with NHS Dorset, Dorset HealthCare, Community Action Network, Legal & General and BCP Council, as well as other charities and community groups. It is facilitated by The Dolphin Poole.
