SAMEE Showcase and Craft Fair

On Thursday 6 August, Bournemouth-based charity SAMEE brings its Showcase and Craft Fair to Gather at The Dolphin from 10am to 4pm, celebrating creativity and self-employment success in Poole. The showcase features work by interns on the UK’s first Supported Self-Employment Internship programme: young adults with learning difficulties, long-term health conditions, or who are neurodivergent. Meet the interns, hear their business stories and browse a wonderfully varied range of work, from digital artwork, photography and creative writing to branded merchandise and freshly baked cupcakes, with many items available to buy on the day. As SAMEE’s Chief Executive Sam Everard MBE puts it, ‘disability does not define potential, opportunity does.’ Come along to celebrate the talent on show and give these young entrepreneurs the recognition and confidence they deserve.
