Welcome to GATHER, The Dolphin’s free event space in the heart of Poole. Open to individuals, organisations and charities, this is a space built to bring people together. Whether it’s a creative workshop, a wellness session or a community meetup, you’ll find it here. Best of all, every single event is completely free to attend.

Something exciting takes place here almost every day. Craft classes, charity events, cultural celebrations and wellbeing sessions all feature regularly in the programme. So however you like to spend your time, there’s likely something on that suits you. Take a look at upcoming events below and check back regularly because the calendar keeps growing.
Free and Open to Everyone
No tickets, no membership and no cost. Simply turn up and get involved. Since every event is community-led, the programme reflects the full variety of people and interests that make Poole such a brilliant place. In addition the space stays accessible throughout shopping centre hours so dropping in is always easy.

Got an idea for a community event? The team would love to hear from you. GATHER is available for local creators, charities and community groups completely free of charge. Furthermore the space comes fully equipped with tables, chairs, free Wi-Fi and more. As a result you can focus entirely on running a great event rather than worrying about logistics. If you have a great idea for an event to engage with the local community, we’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re looking to teach people a new skill, raise money for a worthy cause, or simply spread awareness for something worth talking about, we’d be happy to help.
Previously GATHER has been used for pop-up shops, art exhibitions, children’s entertainment, education and employment fairs, interactive workshops and more.
We’re interested in any event where the wider community can get involved during the day from 10am to 4pm.
GATHER is a 1,800sq ft space furnished with free WiFi, a kitchen sink and an external chalkboard where hosts can advertise their event to passersby. GATHER is in a central location on the ground floor of The Dolphin and is easily accessible for all members of the community.
The Dolphin team will be on hand to help if you have any questions on the day.
Most events are free to attend and don’t require booking. However, some events will have a limited capacity and will require booking in advance.
Each event at GATHER will have its own individual event listing, which is the best place to find the particulars of each event.
