This year, Kindness Day in Poole was bigger than ever. On Tuesday 17th February 2026, The Dolphin transformed into a hub of generosity as 36 of our brilliant retailers gave away free treats, vouchers and surprises to shoppers across the centre.

Why We Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day in Poole

Kindness is already woven into the fabric of The Dolphin. Furthermore, it shows up every single day, in the way our retailers greet familiar faces, in the community events hosted at GATHER and in the connections made over great food at Street Food. However, once a year we love to turn it up a notch. Therefore, when Random Acts of Kindness Day came around, we knew we had to go all in.

36 Retailers. One Big Day of Kindness.

Our team spent the day handing out offer cards to random to shoppers. Each card was completely different. As a result, you never quite knew what you were going to get. It could be a free muffin, a gift certificate or an exclusive discount from one of the amazing businesses at The Dolphin. The surprise was all part of the fun.

In total, 36 retailers took part. That’s 36 businesses choosing to give something back and it made for an incredible day in the centre. Consequently, the smiles kept on coming from the moment we opened our doors.

Independent Makers Getting Involved

It was particularly brilliant to see our KINGLAND independents getting behind the day. Moreover, these are small businesses run by real people from right here in Poole and their generosity perfectly captures the community spirit that makes The Dolphin such a special place to visit.

Additionally, events like this show what’s possible when a community pulls together. Whether you came in for a browse and left with a surprise treat, or you spotted the kindness cards being handed out and stopped to chat, today was yours as much as ours.
