That’s the question at the heart of ONCE?, a thought-provoking exhibition by Poole-based designer Gillian Marais of Tailoresque, coming to GATHER for two days this March.

The exhibition explores our collective fascination with all things bridal through a stunning collection of upcycled and reworked wedding dresses. Each piece tells a story of transformation, taking gowns that might otherwise have been packed away in a box or sent to landfill and giving them a bold new chapter.

Whether you’re a bride to be, a lover of sustainable fashion or simply curious about the craftsmanship behind it all, ONCE? is a beautiful and quietly powerful reminder that the most precious things deserve to be worn again.
