Specsavers Poole open with safety in sight
Specsavers Poole is urging people to continue to look after their eyes and hearing health during the current restrictions, after one in three people noticed a deterioration in their eyesight and others in their hearing during the first lockdown.
While many retailers are having to close at the moment, opticians and audiologists are deemed essential healthcare providers and can therefore remain open. This means that Specsavers Poole can continue to offer a full range of services that include :
- Eye and hearing tests
- Contact lens consultations
- New glasses and frame repairs
- Hearing aids and repairs
Specsavers are also offering remote services for people who are self-isolating, vulnerable or unable to leave their home. These include :
- Online shopping with a current prescription
- Ask The Expert – a web-based and Facebook group answering all your eye and hearing health concerns seven days a week
Emma Hall, retail director in Poole, says :
“We want to reassure customers that it is absolutely safe to book an appointment or come in as scheduled as we have all the necessary safety measures in place.
We have adapted our ways of working so we can remain open to serve the public’s health needs and every store is adhering to strict government guidelines to ensure customer and colleague safety remains paramount.”
As providers of an essential health service, we have played a key role in looking after people’s eye and hearing health throughout the pandemic and are delighted that we can continue to do so, while also playing our part in relieving some of the strain on our partners in the NHS.
